Inside, you’ve got a high-purity quartz tube with a halogen fill. The halogen chemistry keeps the filament stable even when things get scorching, so the output stays consistent over time. The quartz also has a special coating that reflects infrared energy back onto the preforms—more heat where you need it, less wasted into the machine frame. The connector end uses an R7s base, chosen because it makes solid contact and can handle high current without getting itself into trouble. Installation? Straightforward.
