In PET blowing, the temperature ramp-up is everything. Get it right, and you have a perfect bottle. Get it wrong, and you’re staring at a pile of deformed plastic. The real headache happens when you swap out OEM lamps for cheaper alternatives. Usually, the heating curve shifts, and suddenly you’re spending hours tweaking settings just to get back to baseline. We hated that, so we built our infrared lamps to act exactly like the originals. No surprises. No guesswork.
It’s about more than just wattage
Here is the thing: matching the wattage isn’t enough. If the spectral output is off, your bottles will feel it. We spent a lot of time obsessing over the filament composition and the thickness of the quartz envelope. Why? Because if the heat density per millimeter is even slightly off, you get those annoying cold spots or, worse, “burn-through” on the preform. We made these 1:1 matches. That means you can plug them in and keep your current PLC settings exactly where they are. It just works.
No “MacGyvering” required
Nobody wants to spend their downtime modifying lamp holders. Whether you’re using R7s or those specialized SK pins, our connectors fit right in. We also used a treated quartz glass. High-speed lines are brutal—the constant thermal shock can crack cheap glass. Ours is built to take the hit. One quick tip, though. These lamps put out a lot of heat. If your cooling fans are clogged with dust or just aren’t pulling their weight, that ambient heat stays in the oven and eats away at the lamp’s life. Keep your vents clean, and your lamps will last much longer.
Just swap and go
These are true drop-in replacements. You swap them during your scheduled break, flip the switch, and get back to production. Since the resistance and voltage match the OEM specs, you don’t have to worry about tripping the power supply or dealing with uneven heat across the oven. You just get a steady, uniform bake every single time.
