We decided to fix this by building a replacement lamp that fits right into your KHS setup but actually focuses the heat where it belongs. The struggle with heat density Here’s the thing: to get a perfect blow, you need the wattage to be consistent every single millimeter. We use a specific tungsten filament that stays stable even when the voltage jumps around. Now, if you’re pushing high wattage, the heat is aggressive. You’ll want to double-check that your airflow is dialed in, or you might end up overheating the preform neck. We designed these tubes to keep the heat linear from end to end. No more “cold spots” that you usually find with the cheaper alternatives. Built for the heat We didn’t go cheap on the materials. We use heavy-wall quartz glass so the tubes don’t bow or warp when things get scorching hot. Plus, we integrated a halogen cycle that puts the tungsten back onto the filament. This keeps the lamp from burning out way too early. And don’t worry about the installation. We use standard R7s or Sk15 bases. You just pop them in. No rewiring, no modifying your KHS holders, no fuss. Real-world results These are made for the shop floor—the kind of place where machines run 24/7 and things get messy. By tweaking how the filament is wound, we’ve smoothed out the thermal gradient. The heat soak is just… steadier.
